On my way into work today, I heard Bon Jovi cover The Beatle’s Help! When it first came on, I was singing along but I wasn’t sure why or how I knew the lyrics. Bon Jovi made it an interesting “love” song almost by slowing it down. It actually gave it a totally new vibe. I’m sure The Fab 5 would approve. I found a live version of the song below.
What I want to know is this: What is YOUR favorite cover song? Who do you think actually did a better job on a song than the original? This one is near the top, but I think that Travis Tritt’s “Take It Easy” from the Common Thread: Songs of the Eagles is much better than the original. Don’t hate me, I’m a big Eagles fan.
